Investing in Women-Led Startups / Scaleups:

One of the Women in FinTech programmes aims is to double the amount of investment in the UK that goes to women-led  startups and scaleups. In 2018 only 3% of the total capital invested in FinTech companies went to female founders. However the latest research showed that female-founded companies delivered significantly higher returns on investment. First Round Capital data showed that female-founded companies did 63% better; and the Kauffman Fellows report established that women led teams generate a 35% higher return on investment. This is against a backdrop that these businesses continue to raise significantly lower amounts in funding.

TAINA falls in the minority of female founder fintech firms in the UK who continue to be backed by top tier financial institutions and venture capitalist investors, read more about our 2022 funding round here.
